Hi! Thank you very much for your presentation! I honestly can say that I learned a lot about the Finninsh education culture. Before your lecture all I knew about Finnish education is that it was free. Now I understand it a little better. I’d also like to thank you for sharing in your presentation a narrative of how you got there. I come from a non-education background (entomology) and am starting my journey into the field of educational technology. I sometimes worry that this puts me at a disadvantage, but after hearing your story I feel that there is hope! Thank you again for your presentation!
Jordie. Thank you for taking the time to leave a message and for your kind words. I think life is a learning journey. I am sure that you can find your element in educational technology – one friend of mine is a composer who has reinvented himself as an educational technology specialist – which he now uses to teach his music courses. He is on a Fulbright to Tallinn Estonia right now. A simple start is to connect to the people you admire and to build your network – read and follow people and start to find your own space. I hope this helps, feel free to connect with me. Best. Mark
