Mark Curcher

Program Director of the 21st Century Educators Program

Mark Curcher serves as  Program Director of the 21st Century Educators Program at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Finland. He received his master’s degree in Online Education from The Open University and a Business Education degree from the University of West England. Mark has had more than 25 years of experience as an international educator, teaching finance and economics courses in a variety of institutions in Europe and the Middle East before becoming involved in teacher education, professional development and the implementation of educational technologies to enhance student learning.

Mark has a passion for education and learning and gets tremendous satisfaction working with teachers and students, helping them develop, improve their practice and realize the potential of technology enhanced learning. His interests include teacher professional development, authentic e-learning, educational use of social media, learning communities, teachers professional identity and the utilization of video to improve formative assessment feedback.
