Session Description
Online courses appeal to students because of the flexibility and access available. However, online courses are often structured as one size fits all, ignoring the distinctive learning styles students possess. This presentation discusses the use of multiple-intelligences theory as an alternative approach to allow students to utilize their best means of learning. It also examines the question of assessing the individual work of the student compared to the standardized grading approach that compares one student against another.
